Technical feasibility validation at Monomeris Chemicals

Before any collaboration, Monomeris Chemicals conducts a technical feasibility study to assess the recycling potential of a plastic waste stream. This step is essential to ensure that the waste stream is compatible with our ionic recycling technology, optimize the performance of the facility, and ensure the economic viability of the project.

As a reminder, the MELTA solution is the first technology that enables the recycling of all types of mixed plastic waste, which until now has been the main obstacle to increasing the recyclability rate of plastic waste.

Information required prior to sale

1

Nature of the waste deposit (types of plastics)

In order to optimize our ionic recycling process, it is necessary to accurately identify the composition of the waste in our laboratory.

2

Annual or daily volume

The size of the machine and the profitability of the project depend heavily on the tonnage. Our unit processes up to 10,000 tons per year. For smaller volumes (less than 3,500 tons per year), pooling may be considered.

3

Geographical location

This influences logistics, transport costs, machine installation, and access to utilities (water, gas, electricity).

4

Current outlet

Understanding the current solution allows us to better position our offering in terms of cost, environmental performance, and added value.
5

Current treatment cost

This allows you to compare the Monomeris offer with the actual cost you currently incur and determine the economic benefits of the project.

6

Waste organization (sorting and sorting level)

The initial sorting level determines the quality of the input stream and directly impacts the stability of the process. The less the waste is sorted, the more complex the upstream pre- treatment.

7

Ability to provide homogeneous crushed waste (maximum size 25 mm)

To ensure a stable chemical reaction, the particle size must be relatively homogeneous and the waste must be crushed beforehand (maximum 25 mm).
8

Maximum contamination level: 20% / moisture content: max. 20%

Excessive contamination compromises performance and increases pre-treatment costs.

9

Test sample required

Before any contract is signed, a sample test is mandatory to validate the compatibility of the waste with our process in the laboratory.
